Diana’s two sons, Princes William and Harry, today remembered their mother privately.

It’s been 19 years since Princess Diana tragically died in a auto crash.

Darren spent four years working with the Princess and had the “honour” of watching William and Harry – now 34 and 31 – grow up. Online, the royal chef said that although he never thought of himself as “a friend” but rather “the chef”, he did develop a natural bond with Diana.

Bashir asks. “No, I don’t”, Diana replies, before going on to say that she didn’t think “the establishment” she’d married into would want that to happen. Why? Other times I’d see her just burst into tears and it was like, ‘What do I say?

With such a huge outpouring of grief, it is no surprise that people continue to remember her and mourn the loss of a woman described by Tony Blair, then Prime Minister, as the People’s Princess.

She is still missed by millions and for those who loved her, today will be a sombre one where they recall the vibrant princess we lost so tragically.

“She wasn’t strict at all”, said Darren.

“I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud”, he added.

Although the media blamed the paparazzi following the auto, and there were many conspiracy theories, an 18-month French judicial investigation found that the crash was caused by Paul, who lost control of the vehicle at high speed while drunk.

Today we remember her as a devoted mother to Prince William and Prince Harry, voted one of the most handsome people to ever have lived and one of the most influential figures in history.
