Guardiola is in the final season of his three-year contract at Bayern and has already revealed that there will be an announcement on his future before December 24.

Meanwhile, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had earlier said that nobody at the club was irreplaceable and that if Guardiola left, they would get a replacement.

Guardiola has been given until this weekend to confirm whether he intends to extend his stay at Bayern, with his current contract due to expire next summer.

Manchester City are known to be admirers of Guardiola and are in pole position to land the 44-year-old, but Manchester United and Chelsea could also be interested in acquiring his services.

However, it seems a deal is in place between the former Chelsea boss and the German champions and despite interest from clubs in England, Ancelotti has given his word to the Bavarians.

“But the talks will be held after the Hannover match, and we’ll then announce a decision”.

Since last season there have been confrontations between Guardiola and the head of the medical teams of Bayern and the German selection, Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, which led to the sudden resignation of the latter. “We have always said there will be a decision in 2015”.

Manchester City would appear to be Guardiola’s most likely destination despite continued, and consistent, firm denials from the club that they are prepared to replace their manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Guardiola joined Bayern in the summer of 2013 after spending four year in Barcelona and one year out with a sabbatical.

Following a German Cup win over Darmstadt las night, Guardiola said he will clarify his future plans within the next seven days. The coaches come in and at some point they leave.

“I genuinely don’t know where he will go but Manchester United will be high on the list, I would imagine, for the simple reason they are struggling”.
