The victory saw Manchester City continue their ideal start to the season. I heard from years ago the Premier League is the toughest league and I am going to accept that.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says Kevin de Bruyne is behind only Lionel Messi as the best player in the world after another star performance. Without the ball, he is the first fighter; with it, he sees the right move every single time. I’m very pleased because I know against which team we won.

“We did well and could use a lot of counter-attacks and after that the quality of our play from the strikers and midfielders made the difference”.

Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring for City with a free kick after 15 minutes.

“Maybe Messi can sit alone at the table”.

“He is aggressive without the ball, but especially with the ball it is clear he knows already everything, he sees absolutely everything and in front of the goal he scores and makes assists”.

Kevin de Bruyne, Kelechi Ilheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan all netted as the Cherries were swatted aside emphatically at the Etihad Stadium, to give City maximum points after the opening month of the season.

“Every time he makes the right decision”. We played like a small team without the ball and that is why I’m so proud.

Bournemouth’s third league loss of the season made it a tough full debut for on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Howe said, “Fair play to them”. The second one is the one that really hurts because at 1-0 you’re still in the game and then we concede from our set play.

Arsenal on their part completely outclassed their hosts Hull City winning by a 4-1 margin in a game in which Arsene Wenger opted to start Nigerian global, Alex Iwobi who gave a good account of himself.
