Pep Guardiola hopes Joe Hart fights for his place

Barca manager Luis Enrique would ideally like to have kept both at the Camp Nou, particularly given the fact that Bravo is now the first choice La Liga goalkeeper, but Ter Stegen is becoming increasingly restless at being limited to cup and Champions League matches – to that end, the older goalkeeper is being moved on in order to placate the German worldwide. However, one of the biggest talking points of the opening days came when Pep Guardiola produced his team sheet for the first time as Manchester City manager.

The England worldwide watched from the bench as Willy Caballero started the 2-1 win against Sunderland at the Etihad – and it’s a position he might have to get used to.

“Always in my history at Barcelona and Bayern Munich I played all the squad”.

Guardiola has publicly said that the England global could yet win his place back in the side.

Pep Guardiola says he is aware that Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is unhappy, but refused to rule out a return from the bench for the 29-year-old. And may be contemplating a move elsewhere with Everton sniffing around.

“I am pretty sure he is not happy”, Guardiola said of Hart after he was left out of Saturday’s game.

Other clubs listed in SkyBet’s market include Real Madrid (22/1) and Paris Saint-Germain (28/1) while West Ham are 33/1 (34.0) alongside a Stoke side who will be without Jack Butland for a few weeks due to another ankle injury although the 23-year-old played down the seriousness of the set back.

The USA worldwide was first choice at Goodison Park for a decade before his return home to join Colorado Rapids this summer. I know the quality of Joe, he is an awesome goalkeeper. ‘I needed the build-up and to use the goalkeeper to play quicker to arrive the balls behind the line.

“First of all, he had more time, he arrived on the first day, in the first training session we worked on that”. That’s the reason why, nothing else.

Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo and Portugal’s Euro 2016 hero Rui Patricio are two names linked with a late summer move to the Premier League, but Guardiola has insisted hart can still win back his place. “But today I have to decide and today I decide in that way”.
