Pep won’t poach Bayern’s players – Robben

Guardiola is now in charge at Bayern Munich, but is not renewing his contract with the German champions and is instead heading to take over at Manchester City in the summer.

The 34-year-old shotstopper was a key figure in Guardiola’s Barca outfit that won three La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League titles during his time as manager of the club. He knows it’s best for the club and for me to stay here and I don’t think he will ask me to leave Barcelona [for Manchester City].

Former Manchester City striker Paul Dickov has expressed confidence that Kelechi Iheanacho will excel under incoming manager Pep Guardiola. “That’s the only thing that matters right now”.

Various players have been tipped to be set to join Pep at the Etihad Stadium, with the likes of Pep Guardiola, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Thiago Alcantara, and Robert Lewandowski all tipped to the in the mind of the former deep-lying midfielder. Guardiola is well known for his tiki-taka obsession to shape the game from the very back, with Manuel Neuer also playing a vital role at Bayern Munich. Guardiola didn’t just put me on the flanks but in other positions as well.
