Frank Leboeuf has taken aim at France star Antoine Griezmann in the wake of his unconvincing display in the Euro 2016 final. “But I always said we are a team, we win as a team”.

Twelve years after losing to Greece on home soil in their last appearance in the final, it was Portugal’s turn to spoil the host nation’s party.

In what can be termed as a dream coming true for Ronaldo, Portugal clinched their maiden worldwide title after beating hosts France 1-0 in the mouth-watering summit clash at Stade de France on Monday.

Having helped Pepe to this the experienced defender got his hands on that with him also the man of the match too following a fine performance. “I really wanted to give them this trophy but couldn’t score”.

Ronaldo followed behind Bale at 18%, who was further trailed by Dimitri Payet (12%), Paul Pogba (3%), and Pepe (3%).

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen was named in UEFA’s Team of the Tournament after an excellent Euro 2016 campaign.

Deschamps, who is under contract until 2018, was France captain in 1998 and 2000 and was bidding to emulate Germany’s Berti Vogts by winning a European Championship as a player and coach.

“Pepe was in great form right from the start until the very end”.

Ronaldo was forced-off the game after he signaled to be substituted mid-way through the first half, but there was no separating these two sides as it remained goalless after 90 minutes.
