Pepsi to release smartphone in China

“The spokeswoman did not name the licensing partner or give any further details about the phone”. According to a company spokesperson, the Pepsi smartphone will instead be limited to the Chinese market alone.

The news follows the announcement of a limited supply of the formerly-fictional Pepsi ideal, a special branding effort aimed at celebrating Back to the Future Day on October. 21, which is the day that the film’s character Marty McFly arrives in the year 2015.

Rumors suggest that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution, 2GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, 13-megapixel main camera, and 5MP front snapper. The phone will be backed by a 3000 mAh battery.

It has partnered with several brands already including Italian shoemaker Del Toro for a soccer campaign and Bang & Olufsen, a Danish luxury stereo and TV manufacturer.
