It has emerged that Apple TV owners are about to have an enhanced television viewing experience supported by Periscope.

There are also a number of new accessibility features that should make it easier for visually impaired Periscopers to use the iOS app. According to Tech Crunch, no details have been confirmed regarding the functionality of the app, but it will most likely be one for streaming videos. Twitter reportedly paid about $120 million to acquire Periscope. Even better is that those watching from the web on the desktop will automatically see video the way it’s being filmed. The new Apple TV is now made for gaming and it comes with a remote that serves as a game controller. Twitter and Periscope did not respond to our inquiry before press time.

Integrating Periscope on Apple TV doesn’t look odd. That means getting developers to take advantage of potential hand-off or multi-screen options afforded by iPhones and iPads also running on iOS. The new feature could also have been intended as a welcome improvement for people viewing video streams on their PC’s, rather than mobile devices. Rumors recently sprang up about Periscope developing a special app for the Apple TV, that would enable users to stream live-videos on the big screen.

Apple TV is a digital media player and a microconsole developed and sold by Apple Inc. The current version, in contrast, is very heavy on the Apple content. Bloomberg Business says the TV service has been delayed until 2016 because those negotiations were progressing slowly.
