Pernell McPhee goes after Bears QB Jay Cutler: “Wake the F*%& up!”
Cutler wasn’t the only casualty of this game as the Bears might be without brand new, Super Bowl champion linebacker, Danny Trevathan left with a thumb injury that will require surgery.

Carson Wentz followed up an impressive National Football League debut with another solid performance, throwing for 190 yards and a touchdown, and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chicago Bears 29-14 on Monday night.
The NFL eight-year journeyman is playing for his fifth franchise since entering the league in 2009, and completed nine of 12 passes for 78 yards in relief for Cutler. He’s completed better than 60 percent of his passes for 468 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 94.1 quarterback rating.
A miserable night for Chicago, who fell to 0-2, was compounded by an injury to quarterback Jay Cutler, who left the game nursing his hand after throwing an interception to Nigel Bradham who returned 28 yards back to Chicago’s two-yard line.
Cutler broke the same thumb on November 20, 2011 while trying to make a tackle following an interception in a win over the Chargers.
Outside linebacker Lamarr Houston suffered what Fox called a significant injury against the Eagles, though he did not confirm the extent on Tuesday.
Also missing practice Wednesday were nose tackle Eddie Goldman (ankle), running back Ka’Deem Carey (hamstring), safety Adrian Amos (concussion), cornerback Bryce Callahan (concussion) and safety Chris Prosinski (calf). Now it’s a matter of how to fix (surgery or not) his thumb. “Right now, we could get Louisville or the University of Houston and they could beat the Browns”. Injuries are part of the game, unfortunately.
The struggling Chicago Bears might have to get by without quarterback Jay Cutler.
Just about everything that could go wrong for the Bears did go wrong.

The Bears had six players leave the game against the Eagles with injuries, and none were able to return. The Bears have neglected the quarterback pipeline for too many years, picking three backup defensive players (linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, defensive backs Deon Bush and Deiondre’ Hall) in the fourth round this draft while Dak Prescott was still on the board. Bad as it was, the question now is how much the injuries incurred during the game will affect the rest of their season. The Bears would consider themselves lucky to make it to 6-10 after what I saw last night from them. They are 0-2 in their second season under Fox after finishing last in the NFC North a year ago, and the last thing they need is to have to get by without their quarterback.
