Person Killed In House Fire And Reported Explosion In Brooklyn
The blast apparently ripped the facade off the three-story building in the Borough Park neighborhood, leaving its upper two floors gaping open.

One person was killed and three more were injured Saturday in an apparent explosion and fire in a Brooklyn building, authorities said.
More than 100 firefighters have been deployed to the explosion site.
Three of the injured, which include a child, have been transported by Hatzolah to a local hospital.
The fire was reported around 1 p.m. City property records describe the building as residential, with space for a store or office.
The FDNY said that an explosion in a Brooklyn building may have been caused by a tenant who attempting to swap out a stove before moving. Their injuries are considered not life-threatening.
“I see a man who was hopping on one leg. And I think he got injured because something fell down”.
The mayor says police and fire marshals were still conducting an investigation.
NYC Emergency Management is directing people to avoid the area and to expect smoke and delays.

The Department of Buildings warned of a possible building collapse and said that staffers were on their way to the site of the explosion to inspect the damage. The Red Cross said in a statement it would assist in the aftermath.
