Person Missing In Water Off Camber Sands
The second man was reportedly treated on the beach and taken to the same hospital by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

The two patients remain in a life-threatening condition at the William Harvey hospital in Ashford.
Frantic calls to the emergency services were made regarding two people who were seen struggling in the water, with the ambulance service called at around 12.40pm.
The Coastguard has called off the search for a swimmer who went missing after he and two others got into difficulty in the sea off East Sussex.
Another man pulled from the water unconscious, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in a stable condition. We are continuing to support the coastguard and RNLI as they search for the 19-year-old man from London who who is still missing.
It’s been confirmed that the search operation has been stood down.
Two men were airlifted to hospital after going into cardiac arrest during the incident at Camber Sands shortly after midday.
“It seems this has been three people who have got into trouble while swimming with the changing tides and coastline”.
The coastguard rescue teams from Dungeness and Rye, helicopters from Lydd and Solent, Rye Harbour RNLI lifeboat, beach lifeguards and police are still looking for a third person last seen in the water.
She said: “There is a good chance the swimmer has drowned because they haven’t been able to find them under water or across the beach”.

She said: “It was absolutely horrific. The current was very strong, it was very windy”.
