“She runs up to me, jumped on me and put her paws on my shoulders and just starts licking my face like a dog”.

“It seems to be a tame animal, seems very playful and friendly”, said Sgt. Dorcy McGinnis with the Conroe Police Department.
He was unable to get where the tiger was being kept, police said.
It’s another freaky twist in a story that’s been full of them: A masked man apparently tried to steal Nahla, the tiger found wandering through a Conroe subdivision during last week’s storms.
The owner of the feline, Cody Tibbits, says he was trying to transport the tiger out of flood waters when she got loose. Tibbits said he bought the tiger, named Nahla, two weeks ago and was trying to make his ownership legally binding.
Now workers at IEAS say the tiger is “having fun exploring her new home” and will soon be bonding with an animal behaviorist and staff members.
The owner of a 5-month-old tiger cub found wandering the streets of a Texas town was able to see her Monday, CNN reports.
When animal control officers arrived they quickly surmised the young female tiger was someone’s pet. Not only was the tiger wearing a collar and leash, but animal control workers said she had clearly been trained. “I thought it was pretty cool”, Gessner said.
If you recognize the suspect, police call the Conroe Police Department at 936-522-3200.
