Persona 5 finally has a release date: September 15th, 2016

Persona 5 is scheduled for an appearance at E3 this year, and a western release my be announced there. There is also Yusuke Kitagawa, the blue-haired boy in the white shirt who bears a resemblance to Persona 3’s protagonist. An awesome new trailer has also been released.

Disc 4: Persona 4 (The Golden), etc. Adding to the release date, Persona 5 has a lot of Collector’s Edition goodies and DLC content confirmed on the same announcement.

There is also a new trailer for the title, and it may just be the best one yet- you can check it out, as well as images of the game’s special edition, below. The Persona games have always been about mixing the mundane with the supernatural, a trend that is apparent in Persona 5. The trailer shows our protagonists flying to different locations, dungeons that seem to have some platforming elements, and new combination attacks.

Once the countdown clock came to an end earlier today – 5/5, incidentally – the developer hosted a livestream revealing those Japanese release plans.

During Atlus’ announcement, the game developer revealed that the September 15 date would not only see the release of the Japanese title, a special “Anniversary Edition” of Persona 5 would also be released.
