‘Personal decision’ to end Deflategate battle, Brady says; QB looks to future

The four-time Super Bowl victor spoke for the first time Friday at New England’s training camp.

Brady, who will now miss the first four games of the season, said he will be cheering the team from the sidelines as he still hopes the Patriots will “win every game”. “I try to come out here and focus on what I need to do to get better and help our team”. I’ll be cheering our team on and hope we go out and win every game.

The last time the New England media was addressed by Tom Brady, it was following the Patriots’ 20-18 loss to the Broncos in January’s AFC Championship Game in Denver.

Brady then chose to drop his legal fight last month after a U.S. appeal court denied his appeal to rehear his four-game suspension case.

The suspension will snap his streak of 126 consecutive games played 112 in the regular season and 14 playoff games.

“I think that’s kind of always been my motto”, Brady said (via Boston’s WBZ).

Brady cited the support he’s received from the Patriots, his family and fans throughout the process.

He was slated to serve that suspension at the start of the 2015 season, but he won an initial court appeal of his punishment from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the inconsistent hand of justice in football.

“I think some of the other situational things we just have to decide if we want to deal with them or maybe we put them in so that we can deal with them against each other instead of doing it yourself”. I really don’t know. “So I really don’t know”. Still, Brady looks like he’s in midseason form and will be ready when he does return from the suspension.

The Patriots quarterback brought surgical precision and unrelenting competitiveness to the scrimmage, completing every one of his 25 passes and throwing for two touchdowns as his blue-jerseyed team beat a white-clad one led by Jimmy Garoppolo 17-9. Like we said earlier-one day Brady will retire. “I just change it to Barker in my head”. And we’ve got a lot of new players on the team and we’re just trying to incorporate them.

We can also expect a quick, short, high tempo passing offense, built off the gains the run game produces on early downs.

Reminded Brady would hear the 70s quote, Knighton said, “Thats cool, thats cool. He would not say how he plans to spend his time away from the Patriots.

“I tried to make a wish for him, we celebrate his birthday with some interceptions but he wasn’t for it. There were no interceptions today”.

“I think it’s just a way to elevate everybody’s game”, he said of his ultra-intense approach.
