The Maracanã Stadium, which was the venue for the 2014 FIFA World Cup final between Germany and Argentina, will be an exclusive for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, with the Brazilian stadium having “a unique pre-match intro sequence showing the exterior and surrounding city and passionate fans lighting fireworks and flares”.
A cut down version of Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will be landing on the PlayStation store on December 8th for both PS4 and PS3. Now, it’s coming to consoles on the 3rd December, updating the squads in offline modes as well as adding a few extras: 51 new likenesses that weren’t previously in the game, such as Jamie Vardy, Kevin de Bruyne, and Fernando Torres, are being added, with more to come in future updates.
It is the very first time Konami is using a free-to-play model with its AAA game on consoles, in hopes that people will spend real life cash in the game.
There’s also a training section and MyClub, which allows players to build their own team from any of the available players.
The free version of PES 2016 offers an Exhibition Mode featuring seven teams including: Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil and France.
