PES 2016 Liverpool FC player graphics – just how good are they?

In the video game, the Welshman is described as a prolific winger which Reading fans may be more than little skeptical about. Gone are the days of side scrolling football games (I feel I should input a joke about Mario Super Strikers right now). Another has it at a flawless 10/10.

Not long after, we were trying to work out if there had been some sort of mistake, or if a patch had been released that had changed things.

Now, just a few weeks later, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 makes its debut.

First up, the referees have to be mentioned. Squaring up to your opponent in order to steal the ball, intercept the pass or go for the ever-satisfying slide tackle is simple, but never boring.

We have to be quite plain here when we say that this is not an exaggeration. They feel snappier and sharper to move than the guys, and while mistakes seem more common (maybe a outcome of the lower stats?), it was just more fun playing this mode.

Can you guess these 26 Everton FC players who feature in PES 2016?

This is a title that rewards patience and strategy, just like the sport itself, and once you start to appreciate the grace and fluidity of the gameplay, you’ll want to save all of your goal replays to your hard drive, like proud pelts nailed to your wall.

This is particularly risky in your own box, as even if the ball is won, making any kind of physical impression on the opposition often ends with a generous penalty being awarded. In the women’s game, those changes to emphasise control and tactics over speed and power are even more potent. Konami didn’t add any new modes to the roster this time around, but both myClub and Master League have seen subtle improvements to their structures in an effort to flesh out the experiences in light of FIFA’s ever growing mountain of content. No, you don’t need to sprint all of the time. Some better than others! The result? 9 goals conceded. It’s possible to review demos on Steam, and again that page is chock-full of “mostly negative” missives, complaining about the nasty low-resolution assets, and the seemingly misleading screenshots plastered all over Steam. In the men’s game, you can go several in-game minutes without coming close to touching the ball. More of a route-one, kick and run player? (And, as this is a football game, not in a good way.) Like last year’s entry, it seems to have more in common with the last-gen, PS3 and 360 versions of PES 2016 than the shinier PS4 and Xbox One releases, and as you can imagine, the Steam page houses a load of negative reviews.

That attention to detail is what makes the game’s bread and butter, Master League, so damned addictive. In the final against Bayern Munich, our Merseyside Red team scored four goals in 30 minutes to lead 4-0 as the Germans offered no response.

This game needs more than little changes.

Touch-ups could still be made to commentating and stadium crowds.

With all of the customization options-specifically crafting players, kits, teams, etc.-gives your entire experience that touch of personality.

And they’re extra significant in the women’s mode, The Guardian notes. Of course, it loses its lustre somewhat when you’re playing against “East Dorsetshire” or “North London Whites” due to PES’ now infamous lack of licences, but that’s by the by.

While launching one at goal is less predictable than past year, it’s immediately apparent that crossing will be the method Federation Internationale de Football Association 16 online players exploit. Here, you’re given a random selection of players for each position, from which you should be able to assemble a world-beating squad.

Ultimately, though, PES 2016 does its best where it counts, which is the action on the pitch.

The usual array of career modes, training games and other time-consuming features remain in Federation Internationale de Football Association 16.

But that’s only if they can see past the shocking refereeing, the shabby goalkeepers, and the AI oversights that we’ve mentioned. I’m the type of person who plays so many games that I forget control schemes like most husbands forget anniversaries (ruh-roh).

However, the one thing PES has over it’s counterpart is the license to the Champions League, Europa League and the Super Cup.
