Pet food maker Stella & Chewy’s is recalling some of its products from the market after finding a possible Listeria contamination in its sample of 15-ounce Chicken Freeze-Dried Dinner Patties for Dogs.
‘The health and safety of our customers and their pets is always of the utmost importance to us. Those who have opened bags of this dog food are urged to use disposable gloves, place them in double plastic bags, seal it and throw it away. We are accountable for everything we make and highly committed to the quality and integrity of our products. A full list of recalled dinners and treats has been made available by the company on its website.
Stella & Chewy’s added that it is now working closely with the USA Food and Drug Administration to investigate the incident further and to properly address the situation.
The recall from Stella and Chewy’s is the latest after presence of Listeria monocytogenes in lot number 111-15 was discovered by the Department of Agriculture in Maryland.
