Pete Carroll: Marshawn Lynch should be able to handle full workload
Sunday’s showdown with Carolina is pivotal for a 2-3 Seattle team coming off a blown 17-point lead to the Bengals.

Wagner’s status for Sunday’s game against Carolina is in question – to everyone but Wright, at least – because of a pectoral strain he sustained against Cincinnati.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters Wednesday that Marshawn Lynch will play Sunday against the undefeated Panthers.
Losing Wagner would be a significant blow for the Seahawks. Wright also started at middle linebacker in the first game of his career in 2011, replacing an injured David Hawthorne. Carroll said weak side linebacker K.J. Wright would likely slide inside into Wagner’s spot if Wagner is unable to go.
“I think he’s actually going to be able to go”, Wright said of Wagner. Seattle signed LB Nick Moody from the practice squad and free agent CB Crezdon Butler to the 53-man roster to help with depth.

Asked if Lynch would be able to handle a full workload, Carroll said: “Yes, that’s what we anticipate”. Rawls, an undrafted rookie, ran for 169 yards against Cincinnati, his second 100-yard game in three weeks. Wright moving would depend on the health of backup Kevin Pierre-Louis, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. The Seahawks released WR B.J. Daniels and backup RB Rod Smith.
