Pete Carroll not ruling out Marshawn Lynch’s return to ailing Seahawks
Rawls suffered a broken ankle in the first quarter of Sunday’s 35-6 victory over the Baltimore Ravens and is out for the remainder of the season, according to National Football League insider Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Seahawks ultimately did take a 14-3 lead after rookie running back Buck Allen, who was essentially running out the clock, fumbled the ball on the Ravens 14-yard line with less than a minute to go in the second quarter.
The Seahawks will now have to rely on DuJuan Harris and Fred Jackson who also had his fair share of injury issues this season if Marshawn Lynch can not return by week 15.
They are more than capable of winning three straight games though.
“Doug has been phenomenal here for the last month”, Carroll said. “We won’t know until the work starts happening”. “There are some corrections that need to be made, obviously, on the big plays, but that’s what we’ve got practice and watch film for”. They did give up 30 two weeks ago vs the Steelers, but held the 49ers to 13 points in the week before that.
“He’s fixed. It’s a matter of getting him back and in shape and run and do all the insane stuff that he does”, Carroll said.
The Seahawks filled those spots on the active roster by re-signing recently released tight end Chase Coffman and activating linebacker Brock Coyle off the injured-reserve/designated-to-return list. He last played in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals and has carried 111 times for 417 yards (3.8 YPC) this season.
Carroll said Jackson will remain in his role as a third-down back, leaving it to Harris and Brown to compete for carries first and second down. Newton did have another really good game on Sunday, though, passing for 265 yards and three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.
Wilson has put together one of the finest four-week stretches of quarterbacking at least in Seattle history, putting together a string of performances that are tough to match and propelled the Seahawks back into the discussion among the favorites in the NFC even if their playoff path is nearly certain to be as a wild-card team. He did a nice job getting us in and out of plays…. We love the guy, and we’re going to really miss him.
-S Kam Chancellor has a tailbone injury Sunday against the Ravens. Not only that, but Baltimore’s field-goal drive at the end of the first half showed a template for how opponents can be expected to go after Shead, first with a completion over the top and then with a back-shoulder throw.
CLAUSEN ENCORE: Forced into the starting lineup for injured Matt Schaub, Baltimore’s Jimmy Clausen became the sixth quarterback since 1950 to face a team twice in one season as a starter for two different teams. We’ll see where he is, he’s got a chance to get back.

The Seahawks could look for to add another back this week in free agency.
