Pete Carroll: Russell Wilson should play despite sprain

Odd that a team that has had as much success as the Seahawks sometimes needs to be reminded how they do it. The Dolphins were stymied by Seattle’s defense for three quarters before putting together an impressive drive to take the lead.

The guilt stuck with defensive end Cassius Marsh.

“It’s a great play for us to call, and those guys are good at it”, Carroll said afterwards.

Marsh could handle that part of screwing up, but a mistake cost his team 50 yards, and that stung. Too often the running backs had nowhere to go.

Fans in Baltimore, where the Ravens opened their season against the Buffalo Bills, booed during Obama’s message, according to multiple reports.

But Marsh’s teammates rallied around him, told him to forget about it, move on and keep playing.

“It feels a little sore”, Wilson said after the game.

Yes, the Patriots got the best of the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. “My job is to coach a football team”.

“It doesn’t matter how you start, it’s how you finish”, Baldwin said.

Marsh, in his third season, is still something of an enigma.

NOTES: Carroll was pleased with the returns of TE Jimmy Graham and RB Thomas Rawls, completing their recoveries from major injuries last season.

Tannehill led a 13-play, 75-yard drive that ended with him delivering a game-winning touchdowns pass to Dion Sims with 38 seconds left in the contest to defeat Atlanta 27-23 on September 22, 2013. “He did very well, blocked well when he had his chances, and it worked out well”, Carroll said of Graham.

Marsh’s mistake was simple but costly. Foster had a 50-yard catch-and-run reception, but finding room in the running game was hard.

The hope is now they learn from their mistakes and take advantage of their opportunities the next time they get them.

Whether you believe Golden Tate caught Russell Wilson’s desperation pass on Monday Night Football in 2012, or you think it was picked off, it still goes down as a Seahawks win in the record books and one of the most weird ones you’ll ever see.

The drive stalled near the goal line, so Miami attempted what looked like a sure-bet field goal. Not to say that his improvisation always leads to positive results, but the unpredictability of the Seattle offense is part of what makes it so unsafe. I got family who’s still in the struggle. I know it’s calf, but as far as is it the same? “And I want to make it clear that there is no disrespect to the military or to police officers – I’m not about that”.

Marsh got that same extra motivation from the mistake he made against the Dolphins. Foster said Sunday night.
