Peter Malnati wins Sanderson Farms for 1st PGA Tour victory
Aaron Baddeley recorded his best PGA Tour finish in almost eighteen months when he shared 4th position at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson in MS today.

He shot a four-under 68 in his final round, but that was only enough for him to finish in a tie for fourth and two shots behind Malnati.
Peter Malnati kisses “Reveille”, the trophy he earned Monday for… He made par on his final three holes, sinking a 3-foot putt on No. 18 to hold his one-stroke lead.
“I was telling the story on the putting green at the PGA at Kiawah [later] that year, and I told Joe LaCava (Tiger’s caddie) that I had never looked at a leaderboard on the back nine and that it was my only regret”, McGirt said.
Malnati, 28, is not a grinder, but he’s also not really a part of the Tour’s youth movement (though he is the fifth-consecutive first-time victor on the Tour, which had not happened in 13 years).
Torrential rain left the already soggy Country Club of Jackson in an nearly unplayable condition. The final day was a long one for several players, with a few finishing as many as 30 holes.
Bryce Molder was with the group at 17-under but bogeyed 17 to fall off and finished at 16-under with four others, including Roberto Castro, who led after the first and second rounds. He finished at 16 under in a tie for fourth. He had back-to-back bogeys on Nos.
Joel’s response: “How about we just hit a good putt right here”. Two years ago I was just so wrapped up in being on the Tour and enjoying it all.
This is Malnati’s second go-round on the PGA Tour.
Malnati is the third 2015 Web.Com Tour graduate to win in four events to date this season, Malnati finishing 5th on the 2015 Web.Com Tour money list.

Patton Kizzire and the 48-year-old Toms had a one shot lead after the third round before shuffling back into the pack early in the final round.
