But now that the game is launched in Germany and United Kingdom, more users could drift towards the app that now has more engagement time than Facebook in the U.S., as some have even found the alternate methods cumbersome.
Forecasts point to continued growth for Pokemon Go, especially because it will soon launch in new markets around the world, with analysts predicting that it could overtake Snapchat and Google Maps in the daily active users on Android chart.
In a new report based on average time spent by iPhone users on July 11 in the USA, the game showed the highest user engagement in terms of time. Surprisingly, players using Google account to log in are able to load the game without facing any sort of log in issue, TheTimesOfIndia reported. There’s still no word on when the game will hit other major regions, most notably Asia. “So, we advise users to create a new Gmail account to play the game, in case their account is hacked and the security of their Gmail account is compromised”.
Shares in Nintendo have surged by 50 per cent following the game’s overwhelming popularity. Once it runs, the app will then freeze the phone with a screen lock of a Pokemon Go image, forcing the user to restart the device, ESET said on a blog post on Friday.
