Peterson suffers knee injury in Vikings’ win
Since departing from the Vikings, Guion has been on three successive one-year deals with Green Bay, who brought him back for 2016, despite having started in only three games last season.

The Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 of the National Football League schedule on Sunday, kick off time at 8:30 PM ET at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Packers won 30-13 in Minneapolis last year while the Vikings prevailed in Green Bay 20-13 to take the latest win in the Minnesota versus Wisconsin feud and claim the division title for the first time since 2009, breaking the Packers’ four-year streak. After seven catches for a 103 yards last week, Diggs followed it up with up with a nine catches for 182 yards and his first score of the season.
However, the Minnesota ground game was troublesome, putting it mildly.
Adrian Peterson limped off in the third quarter with a right knee injury, and only 19 yards on 12 carries, but the Vikings (2-0) proved they still have a lot of options. He did not return. Containing Peterson and forcing quarterback Sam Bradford to make plays with his arm is key if the Packers want to win.
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is picked off by Minnesota Vikings CB Trae Waynes in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s matchup in Week 2.
This time, however, the Vikings will need to find a way to get points on the board without starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is sidelined for the season with a torn ACL, which required surgery.
Shaun Hill started the season last week with 18 completions from 33 attempts and 236 passing yards to his name. If you’re fine with on demand NON-live games, sign up for $99/year. But it was one of those traits (aggressiveness) that got him in hot water for much of tonight’s game and which could have helped the Pack win this game.
Penalties were the Vikings’ biggest problem all night.
CORNER CONCERN: The Packers held cornerback Sam Shields out of practices this week because of concussion symptoms after getting hurt at Jacksonville. With three seconds to play, Bradford dropped back and heaved a pass out of bounds to end the game.
On the Vikings’ go-ahead touchdown drive, Diggs caught two passes – one for 46 yards to Green Bay’s 37-yard line, then a 25-yard scoring pass up the middle, a ideal pass just beyond the defender’s reach that Diggs snagged while falling.
“We learned in the past not to put that extra pressure on us or not to be around here with shirts that say, “Beat Green Bay, “‘ said cornerback Captain Munnerlyn”.
Sunday night history: This will mark the Packers’ 33rd appearance all-time on Sunday Night Football (on ESPN, TNT or NBC) and their seventh against the Vikings.
Numerous Vikings legends participated in pregame festivities, from Bud Grant blowing the Gjallarhorn to Fran Tarkenton leading a chant. Walsh’s 126th successful field goal of his career gave the Vikes a 10-7 lead with 27 seconds left in the fist half.

Not this time. Bradford to Diggs felt like it was Cunningham to Moss -their 46-yard touchdown connection would be the eventual winning score.
