Peyton Manning gave an emotional goodbye to football, retiring from the NFL after 18 seasons. The legendary football player has called many cities home throughout his career but it all began at Isidore Newman School.

Manning thanked everyone from friends, family, teammates, coaches, and opponents in his farewell address.

“I revere football, I love the game”.

He listed some of the little things that he’s going to miss.

As a father, I can tell you one of the greatest rewards is to see your children grow into what you hope they can be.

Manning has also been credited with helping to usher in a new era of the “passing quarterback” in the NFL.

Rumors have swirled for months that Manning and Papa John have been messing with Brock Osweiler since he was drafted by the Broncos.

That fact is made even more interesting when you consider that none of those 16 players are available in free agency (unless you want to sign franchise-tagged Josh Norman of the Carolina Panthers to an offer sheet). After the Colts released him, he signed with Denver in 2012, where he played four seasons and won Super Bowl 50.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning paid tribute to his older brother Peyton’s retirement in a video posted Sunday.

Hogsett talked about Manning’s contributions to the community, including the creation of the Peyback Foundation in 1999, which he says has provided 10 million dollars to at-risk children, and the opening of the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in 2007.
