Peyton Manning Calls Allegations Of HGH Use A “Complete & Total Joke”
HGH is not illegal, but it is banned in many professional sports, including in the National Football League since 2011. Instead, Hirgen said the Al Jazeera report alleges that there were multiple shipments of HGH to Manning’s wife in Florida, and the Al Jazeera producer says the network stands behind that reporting.

Guyer said Sly was a pharmacy student in Nevada in 2011, when Manning was undergoing treatment, and that Sly did not begin working at the clinic until February 18, 2013.
“It’s inexcusable and irresponsible that Al Jazeera would provide a platform and broadcast outright lies about Mr. Howard and Mr. Zimmerman”, Burck said in a statement.
“Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere…”
Matthews said after Sunday night’s game against the Cardinals that the report was “100% falsified, fabricated information. Peyton Manning has never done what this person is suggesting'”.
Sly has since recanted the story and told Al Jazeera the statements attributed to him “are absolutely false and incorrect”. However, Sly backtracks in a subsequent statement to Al Jazeera, saying Collins secretly recorded his conversations without his knowledge or consent.
“We have not said that in the program”, she said, per SportsBusiness Daily.
By now, I’m sure that everyone’s heard of the latest scandal to hit the NFL. The report claims the shipments were made to Manning’s wife, Ashley.
Brady, when he wasn’t discussing the Patriots’ ill-fated decision to kick off to the Jets in overtime of a Week 16 loss, addressed Manning’s situation during his Monday morning appearance on WEEI radio – and pledged unwavering support for his “good friend”. And to insinuate anything otherwise is a complete and total joke, it’s defamation and it really ticks me off, ” Manning told ESPN. “It never happened. Never”, Manning said in a statement released by the Broncos. “Whoever said this is making stuff up”.
“We’ve been made aware of the recent Al Jazeera report concerning Peyton Manning and find it utterly ridiculous”.
Al Jazeera’s situation became complicated when Sly, who was an intern for the Indianapolis-based Guyer Institute, told ESPN he lied about what he said on camera. Call me a cynic, but the question of whether or not Peyton Manning took HGH is much less interesting than the question of why we all care so much if he did. Frankly, I don’t see Manning playing another year, although you really never know what’s in the mind of a player who is struggling letting go of the past.

If this is indeed how the situation played out, it sounds like Peyton and his wife got caught in the middle simply because one overzealous former employee either oversold his own accomplishments in the business or just didn’t trust a potential business associate who has a checkered financial history.
