Peyton Manning calls it ‘a great honor’ to face Tom Brady

Well Broncos Country, the team is just one win away from their second Super Bowl appearance in three years.

It’s not often that the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, a team that has reached the conference championship and won almost every big game on their schedule, is considered an underdog at home, but that’s exactly what the Denver Broncos are.

Manning quite possibly is the greatest regular-season quarterback in National Football League history, with his record five MVP awards. Manning was out for that one, replaced by Brock Osweiler, but he’ll be back on Sunday to face Brady in what could be his last game against Brady.

Despite the jab at Brady’s attitude, Smith said he respects the longtime Patriots quarterback. If Peyton is going to win this edition of the showdown, though, there’s a good chance he has to be more than a “game manager”, channel some of that Manning-magic of old.

This is the third time Denver has been a home underdog since Manning came aboard in 2012.

The Patriots downplayed the trash talk emanating from Colorado as they began preparations for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. They’ve had excellent continuity from Coach Belichick to Tom Brady.

“First off, it’s a credit to both of them because you don’t have the rivalry that they’ve had if you don’t last as long as both of them have lasted, he said”.

The next day, Broncos lineman Malik Jackson said on NBC Sports’ “Pro Football Talk Live” radio show that Brady “definitely threw some temper tantrums” November 29 in a 30-24 loss at Denver, the Pats’ first defeat of the season. Brady is 11-5 against him.

While this game is more than Brady vs. Manning, it’s hard to ignore two of the all-time greats duking it out for the rights to play for Super Bowl 50.

And veteran safety Devin McCourty said he hasn’t seen a ton of difference between what Manning has done this season compared to the past. The Patriots don’t even have to get sacks, just keep Manning moving and make him uncomfortable. “There’s no question a lot has happened this season that has been very different for me than any other season in 18 years”. Hightower is hoping to become the sixth Alabama player on two Super Bowl-winning teams. The opposing quarterbacks in Brady’s only two victories in Denver were Danny Kanell and Tim Tebow.

Is this the final meeting between the two greatest quarterbacks of this generation
