Peyton Manning Faces Some Hurdles in Possible Doping Defamation Case
Allegations have surfaced claiming Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning received illegal performance-enhancing drugs from an IN anti-aging clinic.

The 39-year-old star quarterback was accused of taking human growth hormone (HGH) during the 2011 National Football League season while receiving treatment for a serious injury at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis.
“The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and totally made up”, Manning said in a statement on Saturday issued through the Denver Broncos to U.S. media. Sly has since recanted the story and told Al Jazeera the statements attributed to him are absolutely false and incorrect. Guyer used similar language.
Peyton Manning said he plans to sue Al Jazeera.
A “furious” Peyton Manning told ESPN today he would never “cut corners”, denying allegations in an Al Jazeera report saying that the star quarterback was supplied with a human growth hormone in 2011.
Manning passionately defended himself during an interview with ESPN on Sunday morning. “I think it is obvious that Mr. Sly has fabricated this whole thing for reasons I can not fathom”.
Absolutely not. And what hurts me the most about this is whoever this guy is, this slapstick trying to insinuate that in 2011, when I more or less had a broken neck, he said.
“I fully support Peyton and my friendship with him over the years, ” Brady said. But on Monday, the topic was Manning’s alleged use of a substance that’s banned by the NFL. According the report, Sly mailed HGH to Manning’s wife, Ashley, while Manning was recovering from multiple neck surgeries. Charlie Sly, the “source”, apparently worked there in 2011 when Manning was being treated.
Al Jazeera defended its reporting by providing the Huffington Post with transcripts of its phone call to the Guyer Institute.
“It has come to my attention that the broadcaster Al-Jazeera has somehow obtained recordings or communications of me making statements concerning a number of athletes and that Al-Jazeera plans to release a documentary about them”, Sly said. “We will go to court to hold Al Jazeera and other responsible parties accountable for smearing our clients’ good names”. “I have had nutrient therapy, oxygen therapy and other treatments that are holistic in nature but never HGH”.
Another player named in the report, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, said he has looked into legal action only to be told it wouldn’t be worth the cost.
