Peyton Manning furious at reports of HGH use
Manning is listed in an Al Jazeera documentary as having been given a supply of human growth hormone while recovering from surgery in 2011. Collins meets with Charlie Sly, a pharmacist who claims to have worked at Indianapolis’ anti-aging Guyer Institute in 2011, during the time Manning was being treated at Guyer following a surgery.

The Al Jazeera investigation-called “The Dark Side”-is the culmination of months of undercover reporting carried out by British hurdler Liam Collins”.
Sly made a YouTube video on Saturday night to address the report, and said, “Any recordings of me were made without my knowledge or consent”.
However, in a follow-up interview with Al-Jazeera, Sly recanted the allegation, saying it was “absolutely false and incorrect”.
The information in the Al Jazeera documentary – which included claims that Manning used human growth hormone and that Zimmerman was one of several athletes who used a hormone supplement known as Delta-2 – was new to the leagues this weekend, officials said. During that time, he has been the model for all that we ask our players to be – contributing to his team, to his community, and to the game of baseball.
“I fully support Peyton and my friendship with him over the years”. Additionally, Sly said he did not work at the Guyer Institute until a 2013 internship, after Manning had left Indianapolis to join the Denver Broncos.
For his part, Manning acknowledges he was a patient at the Guyer Institute, but maintains any therapy he received there was above-board.
“When I was there, I had never seen the Mannings ever”, he claimed.
“We are thoroughly familiar with Peyton’s tireless work habits, his medical history, and, most importantly, his integrity”, the Colts said, according to the Indy Star. “In fact, I can say with absolute certainty they are not”, Guyer said.
In the movie, a man secretly being taped claims Manning regularly received the drugs under his wife’s name. He spoke out again Sunday, telling ESPN he is rotating “between being angry, furious, disgusted, sickened by it” and that the story is “completely fabricated”.
“I can’t speak for any other athlete”.
