This is Peyton Manning’s first season out of the National Football League, he may be working on a 2nd profession as a comic.

In an email exchange with a childhood friend, Brady wrote “Thanks, popa, I’ve got another 7 or 8 years. Game on.” Manning’s decline was evident at the time, and Brady’s Patriots would defeat Manning’s Broncos 43-21 just six days after the email was sent. Then, referring to Lowe’s unsuccessful attempt to break the news of Manning’s retirement in 2012, Manning added that Lowe could be in line for a new career with Brady. “You tried to take the air out of my retirement announcement so fast, you can probably get a job as Tom Brady’s ball boy”. It’s insane to see that, even though he’s retired and not playing football, Manning is still everywhere at the start of another NFL season.

Also in the roaster line-up: Jimmy Carr, Pete Davidson, Peyton Manning, Rob Riggle and Jeff Ross.

It’s pretty safe to say that Rob Lowe was wrong about his tweet, then, and now that Manning actually is retired he took the chance to poke some fun at Lowe.
