Though he has played sparingly for the Broncos during his four seasons with the team, this will be Osweiler’s first start. With the Denver Broncos losing two straight, hopefully Osweiler gets them back into the win column.

The season is not over and the Broncos have plenty to play for. Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson combined for just 13 carries against 49 pass plays and three scrambles by Osweiler.
Denver can talk all it wants about Manning’s injuries, real or imagined. “I think it’s going to be a great football game, and it’s going to take the entire team to go into Chicago and get a win this weekend”. Officials ejected Ward, and now, he has to wait and see if he gets suspended, the way Aqib Talib was for this game after gouging Colts tight end Dwayne Allen in the eye last week. The loss dropped the Ravens to 2-7.
Coach Kubiak maintains that Manning will be the starter as long as he is healthy enough.
The injury is particularly damaging because it is his in his “plant” foot when he throws, making it impossible for a man who was already tossing about a flock’s worth of ducks each game to get anything on his tosses.
Manning will spend lots of time with team athletic trainer Steve Antonopulos this week.

Denver sits as the No. 3 seed in the AFC, but it has little shot of beating 9-0 New England and/or 9-0 Cincinnati in upcoming home games, regardless of quarterback.
