Peyton Manning: Peyton Manning (foot) intends to play in 2016

He is still Peyton Manning mentally, but his body just does not match up the way it once did and as a result, he actually lost his job as the Broncos.

Physically, Manning has to be the worst quarterback in the NFL. Peyton being the true professional in every way accepted the new look; one that was put in place to strengthen the Broncos running game.

Osweiler threw for two touchdowns, and the Denver Broncos stopped Jeremy Langford on a 2-point conversion run in the final minute to beat the Chicago Bears 17-15. The defense allowed a staggering 170 yards on the ground to a team that had averaged just 86 yards per game and was ranked 29th in the National Football League in rushing.

Osweiler is coming off a strong performance against the Bears, going 20-of-27 passing for 250 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ronnie Hillman ran for 102 yards on 21 carries, while C.J. Anderson added 59 yards on 12 attempts.

Brock Osweiler replaced Manning this week against the Chicago Bears as Manning dealt with a plantar fascia injury to his right foot.

However, there’s one player who is honest enough to consider it. According to leading tackler Brandon Marshall, he’s being thinking about it. Talking about Manning’s injury and father time, Marshall commended his teammate as being one of the best all time.

Kubiak announced that Osweiler will start in Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots. No one knows for sure what Peyton Manning is going to end up doing in 2015, much less 2016, but rumors still abound. Even though he brushed it off, you know that had to get to him especially after what happened past year between the two teams with the Patriots blew the Broncos out. When asked Monday if Osweiler could keep the job, Kubiak said the team would take it “week to week”.

Another backup is making his first start of the season today as Mark Sanchez gets the nod in Philadelphia because Sam Bradford has a concussion and injured left shoulder.

“He’s happy for his team that we won a big game [Sunday]”.

SEATTLE LIKELY TO GO TO RAWLS AGAIN: Uncertainty surrounding the health of Marshawn Lynch will likely mean rookie running back Thomas Rawls will start for a second straight week for the Seahawks.

“We go week to week”, Kubiak said. “He can do everything”.

Talk of the Denver Broncos quarterback wanting to play at 40, instead of retiring after the season like many thought, began with a report from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio while on NBC’s Football Night in America Sunday.

The Denver Post reported that the Broncos’ overall offensive execution under Osweiler’s guidance may have been the most balanced all year.
