While the Broncos could technically use Osweiler to close out the regular season and plug Manning in for the playoffs, that would be a risky move that would be widely criticized should Manning play poorly and the Broncos lose their first playoff game.

The Denver Broncos are rumored to have reached the end of the Peyton Manning era, with Brock Osweiler reportedly taking over the position on a full-time basis and the future Hall of Famer serving only as an emergency backup in case of injury. I’m not going to lie about that.

ESPN also reported that Kubiak added Osweiler will be their starter continuing the season as they try to get Manning healthy, which is top priority. For me, it’s just all about doing whatever is best for this football team, and being prepared to play.
