When Peyton Manning finally opened up about his foot injury earlier this month, the Broncos quarterback confirmed that he had been dealing with a partial tear in his plantar fascia “for quite some time”. For some, the belief is that Brock Osweiler has done enough to earn the job going forward; for others, Manning provides the highest upside for a team craving a Super Bowl championship.

Manning was walking around after practice without any limp and Kubiak said Manning would make the trip “and be a part of everything we’re doing and he’ll be on the sidelines, I’d assume”. Gary Kubiak wasn’t pulling anyone’s leg this week when he insisted Manning won’t suit up Sunday in Pittsburgh.
Manning will travel with the team to Pittsburgh and will most likely be on the sideline during the game.
During an interview with WDSU-TV in New Orleans, Archie Manning revealed that Peyton has been dealing with a foot injury since at least August. Denver is 3-1 in his previous four starts with the first loss coming this past Sunday, 15-12 to the Oakland Raiders. The progress has been very good.
Brock Osweiler will be the Broncos starter with rookie Trevor Semien backing him up. “He got in the grouping-type stuff, got in the noise, so to speak, as we had talked”.
The original belief was that Manning’s foot problem started after he got injured against the Colts on November 8. “That’s all I know”.
Safeties T.J. Ward and Omar Bolden and linebacker Lerentee McCray have also all been ruled out of playing on Sunday. “We thought he would be ready to go, ” Kubiak said.
“Peyton’s got plenty of sense, so when everything’s done at the end of the year he’ll sit down and make a decision”, Archie said.

New England quarterback Tom Brady did not practice Friday because of an illness and was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Tennessee.
