Peyton Manning takes first step toward possible return

“We’re going day-to-day with that and see how he comes out of each day”, said Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak, who observed Manning’s throwing session. “We’ll stick to it throughout the course of the week”.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning acknowledged the crowd after setting the new passing recored against the Kansas City Chiefs on November 15 in Denver. Ward was not on the field – even as a spectator – as the Broncos began their practice Wednesday.

It happens to every team this time of year, but this week the number of injuries the Broncos’ are faced with are at a season-high.

Keo is the second veteran safety added recently because of injuries at the position; the Broncos signed Josh Bush last month. The team doesn’t have a great rushing attack and their defense is one of the worst in the league, placing a heavy burden on Carr’s shoulders. “This is who is up.’ I think we’ve grown from that standpoint”.

“More or less, what I’ve learned from Peyton is when to throw it away and just, ‘Hey, you know what?” Without question, Mack is well on his way to becoming one of the best young defensive players in the game and could cause some serious headaches for the Broncos offensive line if he is able to unleash his fury this Sunday.

“I was trying to reach out to him as well just to shop around and see what they were thinking”.

In the Cowboys’ Monday Night Football game against the Washington Redskins, Jason Witten became the 12th player – and only the second tight end – in NFL history to have 1,000 or more career receptions.

The AFC playoff picture is now wide open after the New England Patriots have now lost their last two games, after starting the season undefeated through the first 10 games.

Manning was one of eight players who missed practice Wednesday.

“No, that’s what they would have done either way”. We’ve got a good little process going on right now. “We drafted him in Houston, so he’s played for us before, been a good special teams player. We’re going to try to get as many back as we can so we can go out and try to get another win come Sunday”.

INJURY NOTES: Running back C.J.

S David Bruton Jr. was at practice Wednesday, but did not participate. He missed the Chargers game because of a sprained ankle.

OLB DeMarcus practiced on a limited basis Wednesday. His speed, route running could be a problem if he finds himself matched up with one of the Broncos’ reserve safeties expected to play in the absence of Ward and Bruton.

Oakland had a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter when they played Denver earlier this season, but an interception returned for a touchdown by Chris Harris sealed the Raiders’ fate. He wore a sleeve on his knee as he walked onto the field…. Things could get interesting when Manning is ready to return, but the Broncos stress that is not happening just yet.
