On Saturday night, one of Tennessee’s favorite adopted sons showed up to visit military personnel and police officers at the facility.
A fifth serviceman, a Navy sailor, died Saturday of his wounds.
After his visit, Chattanooga Police posted a photo on social media with the message, “Thank you for stopping by and for your support Peyton Manning”.
The former Indianapolis Colts player was an All-American quarterback at the University of Tennessee. A Chattanooga police officer is still hospitalized as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting.
