Peyton Manning Wasn’t Good In 2015, As DeAngelo Williams Reminded Everyone

An emotional Peyton Manning paused in silence for several seconds before opening his farewell press conference from Denver Broncos’ headquarters on Monday.

At one point Manning did address the lawsuit filed by a group of women alleging that the University of Tennessee violated Title IX regulations and created a “hostile sexual environment” with an attitude of indifference toward assaults by student-athletes.

Could there be a higher compliment?

Peyton Manning truly is man for all seasons.

“I fought the good fight”.

With his parents, brother Cooper, wife, children and former teammates with the Broncos and Colts in attendance at packed news conference, Manning said he revered football. He said “I’ll definitely miss him playing football”, and also said he couldn’t have been happier about the way his brother ended his storied career.

Quick shuffled into the Colts Pro Shop looking for Manning gear, but the store only sells one Manning item-a small toy depicting the quarterback.

– The fans, even those in Foxborough and, “they sure should miss me, because they sure did get a lot of wins off me” . “You have changed this game in ways you will never no (sic) and I admire the man you are on and off the field”.

Manning, who turns 40 later this month, won five MVPs, made four trips to the Super Bowl and won two titles, including Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos last month. Both of them are two-time Super Bowl champions. Manning’s recall of defenses, situations and plays – he once gave detailed descriptions of the scoring plays of every player who caught just one touchdown pass from him – was the stuff of football legend.

Despite this claim, Manning proved those in doubt wrong and led the Broncos to a Super Bowl victory in what will go down, in my opinion, as the greatest Super Bowl of all time.

“Well, I fought a good fight”, said Manning. “I have made no decisions”, Manning said.

Eli suspected, as many did, that Super Bowl 50 might be Peyton’s final game.

Manning has showed me that you can do anything you set your mind to and that he is more than just a great football player. “I know it was tough for him, but I’m proud of the way he handled today”. Manning was playing with a torn plantar fascia in his foot and was placed in a cast for two weeks while Brock Osweiler stepped into the starting lineup. I see his preparation in the offseason. Let’s scope it out, talk to the people with the hotel so we can find a field to go throw. Broncos CEO/team president Joe Ellis, executive vice president of football operations/general manager John Elway and coach Gary Kubiak all spoke before Manning.
