PFAW Calls on GOP Congress to Denounce White Supremacist Steve Bannon

“I can’t control that, nor can I fix or address it”.

Priebus will have a large say in hiring West Wing staff, and “be in charge of day to day operations”, he told Fox News Monday morning. “We gotta do what we gotta do”.

The announcement of Bannon’s appointment as Trump’s chief strategist-he was listed before incoming chief of staff Reince Priebus in a transition team press release, which called them an “effective leadership team”-raised flags across the political spectrum”.

“The president-elect always gets to pick his team going forward”, McCarthy told reporters.

Bannon’s star rose in August when the Republican nominee tapped the Breitbart News Chairman for a new position as campaign chief executive.

“Of course I’d have serious problems with anti-Semitic statements coming out of the White House, but I don’t expect that”, said Rep.

In a likely nod to the Clinton campaign, Obama said that the party needs to reach out further to not just the entire country, but portions of certain states that have been largely ignored.

“Now is not the time to have a civil war”, he said.

“There is no place in our society, let alone the White House, for purveyors like Steve Bannon of hate and violence against any group of Americans”, Markey said.

On the issues, Mr Trump, however, made it clear he intends to aggressively push a right-wing agenda, pledging to name justices to the Supreme Court who are against abortion and for gun rights. “They love their country”.

Pennsylvania congressman Lou Barletta agreed that open hostility toward Ryan shouldn’t disrupt a business-like administration and said he trusts Donald Trump’s staffing decisions.

Neither Priebus nor Bannon brings policy experience to the White House.

“We fear … that Trump’s choice of Steve Bannon is just the first appointment of many individuals who have engaged in, or at least, tolerated anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia”, the statement continued. “I find him not to be way that he’s being accused, I find him to be the opposite”. Asked what Republicans in Congress will do to assure Americans anxious about Bannon’s hiring, McCarthy demurred, instead choosing to draw attention to a painting of Washington crossing the Delaware River hanging in his office.

Trump’s transition team says that Trump told Putin he looks forward to “a strong and enduring relationship with Russian Federation and the people of Russian Federation”.

Bannon’s ability to help deliver Trump a victory, especially in the blue states of Wisconsin and MI, was a reason given to support the hire among Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Now Ryan, R-Wis., will find out if that trust is warranted. “It’s for this reason that Bannon is so beloved by the white-supremacist movement in the US, and they are now celebrating his appointment”.

“I’ve always believed in giving somebody a chance”, McCarthy said. “I don’t know Steve Bannon, so I have no concerns – I trust Donald’s judgment…”
