PGA Championship 2016: Kevin Kisner among Round 3 early movers
When the PGA Championship was last played at Baltusrol in 2005, weather delays also forced a suspension in play.

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (AP) – The PGA Championship was halted by thunderstorms Saturday that raised the possibility of a third straight Monday finish in a major at Baltusrol.
Emiliano Grillo and world No. 1 and defending champion Jason Day didn’t hit a shot and are at 7 under.
McIlroy, who played with Mickelson, messed up the final hole to miss the cut for the first time in eight starts at the PGA Championship. The PGA, which opted not to move up the third-round starting times Saturday, now plans to start the final round at 8:40 a.m. without repairing players of sending groups off split tees.
Play will resume at 7 a.m. Sunday, when much of the field will wrap up its round and the final groups will begin a day late.
Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb made it as far as the practice range before clouds gathered, the sky rumbled and storms dumped more rain on an already saturated golf course at Baltusrol.
Summerhays played two holes Saturday, bogeying the first and eagling the second to stand at 4-under par for the tournament in a tie for 10th, five shots out of the lead.
Of the players who completed their third round on Saturday, Kevin Kisner held the clubhouse lead at 5-under 205 after a round of 65 that included seven birdies and two bogeys.
“If you get off to a bad start, you’re thinking about it”, he said. The last golfer to do it was Robert Streb here on Friday.
At stake is a chance to join Tiger Woods as the only back-to-back PGA champions since the stroke-play era began in 1958.
Kisner finished Round 3 with seven birdies and two bogeys.
“It all depends on what those guys do”, Kisner said. “You can make a lot of birdies”. “The course is receptive enough”.
Rory McIlroy ended a “disappointing” year at the majors Friday by missing the cut at the PGA Championship for the first time in his career, undone by nagging putting woes.
“I’ve hit the ball really well this week and I’m walking away not playing the weekend”. “It’s a par 70, the greens are pristine, rolling beautifully”. They are soft, so you can get the ball very close.
“I played really well the first day and putted tentatively, I was very tentative the second day but putted better and today – even though I didn’t play great – I was more relaxed about things, tee to green and putted very nicely”. “I think there’s that 61 or 62 out there that I was probably trying to chase a little too hard”, Mickelson said.

Having set the pace early, Walker believes he has done everything he can to come give himself a chance of coming out on top come Sunday.
