Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

Sunday Night Football featuring the Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys on NBC TV and NBC Sports Extra Live streaming looked like a lot better game before the season began. Sitting in third place in a dire NFC East, the Eagles are remarkably one win away from the first place New York Giants. Just think. First Dallas game, the Eagles had seven rushing yards. Matthews had nine catches for 133 yards. More to the point, though, they held Philadelphia to seven yards rushing on 17 carries-DeMarco Murray finished with two yards on 13 carries.

The Cowboys are in danger of losing every game Romo hasn’t started.

As in several games during the skid, Dallas had its chances.

For one, the Cowboys will roll out leading playmaker and receiver Dez Bryant for the second straight game after he missed five straight with a broken foot. Darren McFadden had a few nice runs, but it was mostly Cassel’s arm, especially when he hit Bryant in stride for 51 yards.

Whatever fireworks were missing early went off in the fourth quarter and overtime, as big plays were made on both sides. Greg Hardy has come on strong after returning from suspension, tallying three sacks a forced fumble and an interception in three games. Cowboys returner Lucky Whitehead took the ensuing kickoff 3 yards deep in the end zone and raced 79 yards.

Sam Bradford has had two weeks to prepare for Dallas.

Cassel can’t do anything about what happens when he’s not on the field. Shut up and play ball.

The defense relented again however, in the third allowing a long Cowboys touchdown drive to tie the game at 14-apiece. Dan Bailey drilled a 41-yard field goal easily to make it a 24-24 game with 2:58 left in the fourth quarter. He believes Dallas will need to be prepared for a bigger challenge this time around. The former Pokes at least say, they’re time in Stillwater set them up for success in the NFL.

The Eagles play the Miami Dolphins next week.

Now the Eagles are looking to finally take control of the East. Bradford found Murray and Matthews for 44 and 28 yards, respectively. And Ryan Mathews picked up the first down.

The Cowboys’ very first drive saw Dallas start at the 7 yard line and end up with a touchdown. The field goal went off the post and through the uprights to send the game to overtime, tied 27-27. He intercepted the pass along the sideline and ran 67 yards untouched, giving the Eagles a 21-14 lead with 12:47 left.

Retired wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin offered up his services to the Cowboys, saying he can play the position until Romo returns. So were Eagles defenders E.J. Biggers, Chris Maragos and Nolan Carroll. Your games have, for the most part, reached the status of high-school cafeteria lunches: inescapable and indigestible.
