Phoenix police hunt ‘serial shooter’ after 7 deaths
Police believe that in each incident the suspect arrived and departed in a vehicle, but that vehicle description has varied from a light-colored sedan to a dark-colored sedan.

Detectives were able to create a composite sketch of the shooting suspects with the help of a witness, police said.
As part of the investigation, police began reviewing all shootings since the start of the year – a process that revealed four more crimes as part of the pattern.
On April 19, Krystal Annette White, a 55-year-old woman, was found dead in the afternoon near 500 North 32nd Street from gunshot injuries.
City Manager Greg Nyhoff announced Police Chief Jeri Williams has been appointed Police Chief for the City of Phoenix Police Department.
Williams was one of three finalists being considered by the department.
There has not been a shooting since June 12, and the gap has led Phoenix PD to urge citizens to come forward and tell what they know. Two of those shootings involved people wounded late at night on back-to-back nights in March.
According to ABC, police have not said if the victims were selected at random or if they were targeted.
“For me, it was all about thinking about bringing someone to justice for what has happened, and not having something else happen after that”, said Andy Hill.
Horacio De Jesus Peña, 32, was shot and killed just before 10am on June 3 as he returned from a job helping out at a group home for people with special needs.
Police linked a seventh homicide to the serial killer or killers on Tuesday.
The shooting was within 6 miles and less than an hour from when Stefanie Ellis, her daughter Maleah, and friend Angela Linner were gunned down in a vehicle in Ellis’ driveway. During the same period, another man killed nine people. Phoenix police are reaching out to the community for tips regarding the unresolved witnesses and has offered a reward of $30,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
“We want our residents to know about this activity, we want our residents to be alert and aware, at a healthy level, and we want them to watch out for their family, their neighbors and to report any suspicious or unfamiliar activity”, Howard said.
