Physician Says Clinton ‘Recovering Well’ From Pneumonia

“She continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States”, her doctor, Lisa Bardack of CareMount Medical, wrote in a letter released Wednesday evening.

Health issues have dominated the race for November’s election since a dizzy spell forced Mrs Clinton, 68, to leave a 9/11 ceremony in NY on Sunday. “She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest …she continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as president of the U.S.”, it said.

Clinton’s campaign said on Wednesday that her physician found that the former first lady “is in excellent mental condition” and was “recovering well with antibiotics and rest”.

The letter also notes that in January, during the run-up to the Iowa caucuses, Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection that was initially treated with antibiotics and steroids. “The results of the CT scan revealed a small right middlelobe pneumonia; her coronary calcium score was again zero”.

“She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”, wrote Dr Bardack.

Clinton’s Republican rival Donald Trump will also reveal the results of his own recent medical exam during a TV show set to be aired on Thursday, said a daily report by The Hill, a top US political website.

“Over the next several days as she travelled, her congestion worsened and she developed a cough”.

Vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine is in “overall excellent health”, according to a letter the campaign also released Wednesday from his doctor, Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress.

“I think on Dr. Oz they are going to to talk about other concerns for America”, Conway said.

Her vitals are also excellent, with Ross noting that her pulse-oximetry, a measure of how well your lungs exchange oxygen, is near ideal.

Since then, Clinton’s dosage of Coumadin has “been adjusted as needed according to regular lab testing”, Bardack said.

Clinton’s health was last detailed in a letter from Bardack released in July 2015.

In her CNN interview earlier this week, Clinton noted that her medical disclosure is in line with what was provided by President Obama and his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, in 2012.

The memorial service episode fuelled long-simmering conservative conspiracy theories about Mrs Clinton’s health.

A spokesman for Trump’s running mate Mike Pence says the IN governor plans to release records from a recent physical examination as soon as his doctor compiles the information.

Donald Trump reversed course Wednesday and divulged some results from his recent medical examination during a taping of “The Dr. Oz Show” after his campaign advisers insisted earlier in the day that he would not.

The syndicated television show will not be broadcast until Thursday and the campaign declined to immediately disclose the results. “Those were all the tests that were just done last week”, Trump said in an excerpt released by the show.

The physical was conducted by Dr. Harold Bornstein, who proclaimed in a four-paragraph letter last year that the 70-year-old Trump, if elected, would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

Following the revelation that Clinton, 68, was suffering from pneumonia, Trump vowed soon to release “very, very specific numbers” from a recent check-up with Bornstein. He later said he had written the letter in five minutes as a limousine sent by the candidate idled outside.
