Pilot Killed as Two US Fighter Jets Crash on Same Day

The Thunderbird F-16 crashed in a field shortly after doing a flyby at an Air Force Academy graduation ceremony. The pilot was able to safely eject from the jet.

Five other F/A-18 jets landed safely moments after the crash. That same official said the pilot did not eject and was likely killed. The crash happened about 15 miles south of the academy.
