More information is available on the Pink Floyd website.
Each album has been remastered from the original analogue master tapes and is being pressed onto 180-gram vinyl. When the campaign was first announced, it was added that “special care has been taken to replicate the original packaging”.
Pink Floyd followed their ’60s albums with their fifth studio album, “Atom Heart Mother” in 1970.
Atom Heart Mother was the bands first album of the 70’s.
Meddle was released in October 1971 and followed a similar format with side 1 being five individual tracks while side 2 was the 23-1/2 minute track Echoes.
Obscured by Clouds’ roots are in film. It’s the soundtrack to director Barbet Schroeder’s French film La Vallee. The music was eventually re-purposed as 1972 collection Obscured by Clouds.
The LPs mark the latest batch in the British group’s ongoing reissue campaign, which kicked off this summer with re-releases of their first four full-lengths: 1967’s The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, 1968’sA Saucerful of Secrets and 1969’s More soundtrack and Ummagumma double-LP.
