Apollo Peak now offers two varieties of cat-friendly wine – a red “Pinot Meow” and a white moscato.
The non-alcoholic, beet-based cat wine was developed specifically for cats by Denver-based Apollo Peak. White wine is coloured with golden beets and red with beetroot.
He did some research and found out wine for cats already existed – Nyan Nyan Nouveau, but it has some serious problems. “After hearing how great the idea was, I thought to myself, ‘why isn’t there a wine for cats?!’ The rest is history”.
That said, you may still want to check with your vet, especially if your pet has preexisting health problems. “Some cats went absolutely nuts for it, some scoffed at it (typical, right?) and others seemed to enjoy it so much they made a decision to squat next to it like a human taking their time to enjoy it”. Some cats simply don’t react to catnip, which is the “active” ingredient that makes this cat wine so appealing for some cats.
What better to do after such a day than kick back with a glass of cat wine?
A Colorado company is looking to help cat owners enjoy the experience of sharing a glass of wine with their pets.

At this point (if you’re still reading this article about wine for cats), you might wonder to yourself: “Ok, so this won’t get my cat drunk”.
