Pirates’ Sean Rodriguez Apologizes To Gatorade Cooler He Smashed
In this corner, fighting out of Pittsburgh by way of Miami, he plays for the Pirates and kind of looks like an actual pirate, Sean “Serpico” Rodriguez! He hit catcher Francisco Cervelli’s hand with a pitch in the hand during the fifth inning as well as third baseman Josh Harrison with a stray slider in the next inning.

“I hit two guys, unintentionally”. The Pirates were trailing 4-0 at the time of his ejection. Watson was issued a warning.
Given an evening of quiet reflection and a night of restorative sleep, however, Rodriguez is now sufficiently contrite.
He then took his frustrations to the dugout, where he used a Gatorade cooler as a punching bag.
The cooler eventually fell down onto the ground. Rodriguez, a devout Christian, tweeted out an elaborate apology on Thursday afternoon that not only mentioned God, but seems to have compared that cooler to Jesus.

“I want to apologize for allowing my emotions to control my actions in a negative manner”. Well, Rodriguez has let everyone know that he told the cooler he’s really sorry and all is forgiven now.
