With Josh Harrison out for about six weeks with a thumb injury the Pirates should be able to find at bats for Ishikawa in Harrison’s absence.

Pirates utility man Josh Harrison will be out six weeks with an injured thumb he suffered in Sunday’s 5-3 win against the Indians. While the Pirates are waiting for Harrison to be examined by a hand specialist, the fear is their third baseman and leadoff hitter has a torn ligament that will need surgery and sideline him until at least late August.
In 75 games for the Pirates this season, Harrison is batting.279, with a. 313 on base percentage, four home runs, 20 doubles and 22 RBIs.
