Pittsburgh Steelers’ Michael Vick thinks he’s out for a week

The Steelers won the game, 25-13. Palmer finished the game 29-for-45 with 421 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Vick started the game after Roethlisberger was ruled out, but Vick left in the third quarter with a hamstring injury. Jones was so like Roethlisberger that Bell let his feeling be known via the Boston Herald. How is it possible that the most explosive team in the National Football League has failed to generate any big plays in two out of six games this season? Following the Bengals, they come to the Oakland Raiders based heavily on the pass game and Amari Cooper from Alabama keeping his great rookie season going. Landry Jones was 8-of-12 for 168 yards and two touchdowns to Martavis Bryant after replacing Vick in the lineup, giving the team the best production they’ve had through the air since Roethlisberger’s injury.

If Ben Roethlisberger is cleared to return, he will obviously assume his position in the starting lineup.

Since Roethlisberger has been out, the Steelers’ defense has stepped up in a huge way and that was the case again on Sunday.

Pittsburgh entered the game as underdogs to Arizona’s high-performance offense and turned the tables. The second provided the clincher in a 25-13 victory. With a record of 3-2 and Michael Vick taking the reins of the Steelers to cover for Ben, things could be worse. John Brown brought in 10 passes for 196 yards and Larry Fitzgerald added eight grabs for 93 yards, but neither could find the end-zone. Arizona was just 1-of-4 in the red zone and had nine penalties for 111 yards. Jacksonville (1-5) scored in the closing seconds of the third quarter when quarterback Blake Bortles connected with tight end Julius Thomas for a 29-yard score. From the Steelers’ 20, Palmer attempted to find Brown in the end-zone for a go-ahead touchdown, but Mitchell jumped the route for an interception, his first as a Steeler.

Prime Time might be right on this one.

He’s done well for himself since, parlaying an interim head job with Indianapolis into a full-time gig with Arizona, where he went 21-11 in his first two seasons and has built a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Today’s game has an afternoon start time and airs on a network TV channel in a few regions as well as being made available as a live stream online option.

The young QB had the chance to prove himself this preseason, but he was ultimately underwhelming, leading to the team’s signing of Vick.
