Pittsburgh Steelers Playoff Bound After Destroying Cleveland Browns
The Week 17 road game was not the prettiest of wins for a Pittsburgh team that has been far from flawless all season, but they overcame mental errors and sloppy play that has plagued them off and on to a winning 10-6 record. Brown got back on his feet, lighting the Browns defense up with 10 catches in the first half of the game on his way to lead all Steelers receivers with 13 for 187 yards and a touchdown.

The Steelers were stopped on their first possession but marched 70 yards the second time they had the ball and scored on a 2-yard pass from Roethlisberger to tight end Heath Miller for a 7-0 lead.
However, should the Steelers make the playoffs, they’ll badly need Williams to be healthy. However, Browns safety Jordan Poyer intercepted the pass and returned it 12 yards down to the Pittsburgh 24-yard line. He was not sacked once despite his team averaging less than two yards per carry with their run game today. The Steeler cashed in with a 39-yard field goal that increased their lead to 17-9 with 9:39 left in the third.
Whoever plays the Steelers next week is going to lose a lot of sleep.
ABOUT THE BROWNS (3-12): Cleveland has its own issues on offense with Manziel questionable, and Austin Davis would get the start if Manziel is not cleared by Sunday. Antonio Brown is the NFL’s most unstoppable receiver, and for the ninth time this year on Sunday he surpassed 100 yards receiving.

Quarterback Brian Hoyer threw for 249 yards and a 12-yard second quarter touchdown to running back Jonathan Grimes, who then went over from three yards out later on in that period. “I heard cheering and looked because I thought there was a fight or a Steelers fan beating up a Browns fan or something (laughter)”, he said. The Browns hold the No. 2 pick. LB Armonty Bryant was inactive for the second-straight week after being involved in a traffic stop two weeks ago.
Pittsburgh’s Twitter account got the ball rolling, expressing gratitude for the effort by the Bills, who themselves had long since been eliminated from the playoffs and could only play the role of spoiler, either to the Jets or the Steelers.
McCarron threw a pair of touchdown passes Sunday, rallying Cincinnati to a sloppy 24-16 victory over the Baltimore Ravens that left their playoff seeding and matchup up to the later games. The Browns finished the season with only 18 touchdowns in 47 visits inside the opponents’ 20-yard line. They don’t tell why the Steelers still scare anyone who plays them, despite the untimely stumbles. The Browns fumbled the ensuing kickoff, and the Steelers tacked on a field goal.

On the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers average 283.3 yards in passing and 278.2 yards in rushing. Then, facing 4th-and-21, Tanney’s pass to TE Delanie Walker was broken up. Placekicker Chris Boswell missed a 48-yard field goal, wide right, in the opening of the second quarter but saw success on two others and was a flawless two-for-two in PATs. Johnny Manziel completed 13 of 32 passes for 136 yards with one interception, and added 108 yards in 11 attempts on the ground.
