Sanjay’s Super Team is the first time Pixar has explicitly addressed religion in one of its films and hopefully it won’t be the last.

The story is based on Patel’s childhood and begins with him as a young boy transfixed by a television that is playing his favorite superhero cartoon.

As he engages in meditation with his dad, after the events of this preview clip, Sanjay’ll start imagining the deities he’s been hearing about all his life as a few god-like “Avengers”, which is when his imagination gets cool on celestial levels.

John Lasseter, Disney Pixar’s chief creative officer, told the press in May that Disney and Pixar want to include “female and ethnic characters”.

“Sanjay’s Super Team” has a running duration of 7 minutes and is a said debut with the upcoming movie “The Good Dinosaur” on November 25, 2015, at your near theater. And that is how Sanjay forms his super team.

Patel grew up throughout the 1980’s as a second generation Indian immigrant in San Bernardino, California.

When Pixar courted him to make a short, Patel went to his father for advice. The animator has been at Pixar since 1996 and has worked on A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc.
