Twenty-four people were treated for minor injuries after an American Airlines flight headed for Philadelphia was forced to evacuate on the runway in West Palm Beach, Fla.

He ordered an emergency evacuation onto the tarmac using the Airbus A320’s inflatable slides. The Federal Aviation Administration says that twenty-three passengers and one flight attendant were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, including burning eyes, itchiness and difficulty breathing.

A passenger Eric Moore said the flight crew thought the problem might be a fuel leak. Moore said that passengers were not calm as they left the airplane.
